Richard Croft is the father of Lara Croft in the 2018 Tomb Raider Movie. He is played by Dominic West.

Background Story
Richard Croft has been the head of a "global empire" and part-time archaeologist before his disappearance. His last known destination was a fabled tomb on a mythical island off the coast of Japan, but he never returned from this expedition.
Copmarison to Reboot Game Lord Croft
There are not many details known of Richard Croft in the original Tomb Raider reboot game, which is what the movie is supposedly based upon. He was good friends with Conrad Roth, the captain of the Endurance, but that character is missing from the movie. In the game he was not only a part-time archaeologist, but a full-time researcher, disgraced maybe, but still working, while in the movie he is the head of a global business, that so far no further details are known about, and it seems that archaeology was more of a hobby to him.
There is more information on Richard Croft in the sequel, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and it seems that the movie character as well as his relation to his daughter is more based on these, but just how much remains to be seen.
