The Movable Block is one of the basic movable gameplay elements throughout the Tomb Raider Games. They appeared in the first three games in their cube shaped form and were later, starting with Tomb Raider IV: The Last Revelation, replaced by more intricate objects, like vases, statues, lanterns or differently shaped rocks.

From the Level Editor point of view this simple cube had the size of one square, which equals the height of four clicks (one square).

One of the unique properties of the movable block was that Lara could stand on top, which was no longer possible once the more advanced objects appeared, until the reintroduction with the smaller version of the Movable Crate in Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness.

Strategy

To move one of these blocks, Lara has to stand in front of it in the middle. Press and hold Action to make Lara grab hold of it combined with forward to push or backward to pull. She can push the block, if there is at least one square behind the object, or pull it if there are at least two free squares behind her. In the Classic Games, Lara could move these objects only within the grid structure. Since Tomb Raider Legend Lara could move similar objects more freely.
