To learn how to Edit an already created article, read this help file.

If the article you want to work on does not exist yet, please refer to the help file for "Create" and return here when you get to formatting the text area.

Editing an Article

To edit an article, change to the Edit mode. To get there, click the "Edit" button in the top menu line.

If instead you get the link "View source" in the top menu line, the article is protected from editing. Please report this in our Forum.

If you do not feel good about changing an article but want to drop a comment (additions, suggestions, report errors), you can use the "Discussion" page (on the left side of "Edit") to leave a shout.

Article Layout

When creating a new article make sure the layout is perfect and ready for improvements. You can find several Samples for certain types of articles, that only need filling-out, linked on the help pages.

The structure of an article should be as follows:

  • Remark
  • Infobox / Main image
  • Introductory text
  • article content (with text and image elements)
  • Links / References
  • Category links
  • Interwiki links

Text Elements

  • Title of the Article Bold
The title of the article should be included at the beginning of the first sentence and be in bold. The first sentence should also include alternative names (also in bold) and put the item into context.

Entry Result Rules

The '''Kraken''' is a special type of enemy appearing in Tomb Raider Underworld.

bold signifies the name of the article (or any alternative names stated in the same article)

  • Links to Other Articles
Links to related articles should be included in the article. Set every keyword (e.g. Tomb Raider Underworld, Lara Croft, Shotgun) as Wiki link:
Entry Result Rules

Again bold for the title of the article. And [[]] for links within the wiki.

  • Italic for Emphasizing a Word
To emphasize a word within a text you should use the italic style. Do not use bold writing as it is exclusively for the article name. An alternative is the usage of "".
Entry Result Rules

italic is for emphasized text

Image Elements

Make sure you also read and understand the integrating images help file.

To add an image to the Wiki you first need to upload it. Click on the Upload File link in the Toolbox on the left.

To then add the image to an article, you need to add the following to the article, where $imagename is replaced by the exact name of the image file and $title is replaced by a caption.

  • [[File:$imagename|150px|thumb|right|$title]]
