Wall-mounted Knife Blades are a kind of trap introduced in Tomb Raider II. They swing back and forth quite fast and chop Lara's knees if she gets too close and they do a lot of damage. They often appear over collapsible floors, in narrow passages or on slopes to make the task of avoiding them harder, the best way to avoid them is to jump over them.
