Seppuku

Seppuku is a form of ritual suicide performed by Samurai in mediaeval Japan.
In Tomb Raider (2013) the Stormguard General committed suicide, after Queen Himiko died when she could not perform the necessary ritual to transfer her soul into the priestess Hoshi. He left behind an army of Stormguard that protect the remains of the queen.
