The Clamping Metal Doors (also known as chomping blades or Slicer) are a trap that first appears throughout the original Tomb Raider. They reappeared in Tomb Raider II, in the level Barkhang Monastery, where they can be found inside the monastery, in a dark area with shallow water and in the Antarctica, Tomb Raider III, where the trap is located inside the compound.
This trap consists of a set of doors that continuously open and close with force and can kill Lara with only one blow.
