The Square (also Block) is a unit in the Tomb Raider Level Editor. A square is the usual unit on the X-axis. The Y-axis works in Clicks, where 4 clicks equal one square.

When examining a Tomb Raider Level Editor project you will find that everything is based on these squares.


Square - refers to the basic building block 2D surface. Squares are raised or lowered in the modeling process to create form. One full texture tile (64x64 pixels) is equal to one 'square' Texture Tile

Jump Lengths

  • Lara can cover a distance of 2 squares (same height) with a Standing Jump with Grab. A Running Jump will land her on the third square.
  • Lara can cover a distance of 3 squares (same height, or height +1 click) with a Running Jump with Grab.
  • Lara can cover a distance of 3 squares where the height of the target block is one click lower with a Running Jump.
