Decius is a disciple and the first apostle of the Prophet in Rise of the Tomb Raider. He is known only from The Apostle set of Documents. These start before he and the other followers of the Prophet left Byzantine around 970-980 AD.
Vita
Decius seems to be of higher birth, possibly a noble or scholar, as he is one of the few in this time who actually could read and write. Also, he tells us that he attended the Prophet's sermons in the "robes of the common folk" and that he is a "son of a great house"[1]. Even as the teachings of the Prophet caught the attention of "the Church in the West" he goes on to recruit followers while leaving behind his comfortable life[2].
When the followers of the Prophet are finally exiled from the empire by the Knights of the Order of Trinity he is one of those who go to Syria and build a new life there. He himself witnessed the death and the resurrection of the Prophet.
After Trinity was defeated, he left with the others for Siberia. His believe faltered on the hard and strenuous journey, but it was renewed when they found the Geothermal Valley, a "earthly paradise"[3].
Nothing more is known about Decius after their arrival in Siberia.
