The Rope is a very popular Obstacle in the classic and the first three Crystal Dynamics games. It comes in many different forms. The rope made its first appearance in Tomb Raider IV: The Last Revelation and returned in Tomb Raider Chronicles, Tomb Raider Legend and Tomb Raider Anniversary.
In the Reboot Games Lara can attach ropes to certain object using Rope Arrows. These ropes can be used to pull objects or to reach areas that are inaccessible otherwise. In Rise of the Tomb Raider ropes can be cut using the Combat Knife.
