Hoshi was one of the Pristessess of the Sun, chosen by queen Himiko to be the next vessel of her soul. In order to break the cycle and free the world of the evil and power hungry Himiko, Hoshi stole the dagger from the Stormguard General and corrupted the transference Ritual, presumably by killing herself.
