The Bestiary is a book found in the Labyrinth, on a remote island near Ireland by Lara when she was a teenager. It contains a list of the names of all demons that exist and protective symbols. Lara needed the book to name the demon Verdilet who had taken Father Patrick Dunstan hostage. The bestiary was left in Ireland at the very spot where Verdilet disapparated. It is unknown if she kept the book afterwards.Powers
Once you name a demon from the bestiary, you have complete control over it. Lara used the bestiary to name Verdilet, stop him from murdering Father Patrick, and she demanded he disapparate. These are just some of the examples of the power you can exercise over the demon once you name it.
