The Bats are encountered often during Lara's adventures. They are the first enemies ever encountered in the games; in the original Tomb Raider. Most often they appear as single enemies, only in Tomb Raider III (where they are harmless ans only serve as style element) and Tomb Raider Chronicles they appear as Flock of Bats. There were bats in all Tomb Raiders, except for Tomb Raider II and Tomb Raider Legend.

Occurrence

• Tomb Raider - Lara will encounter single bats.
• Tomb Raider III - Lara will meet flocks of bats that are harmless.
• The Last Revelation - Lara will be attacked by single bats again.
• Tomb Raider Chronicles - Lara will meet aggressive flocks of bats.
• The Angel of Darkness - Lara will encounter single bats again.
• Tomb Raider Anniversary - Like in the original Tomb Raider, the bats will appear as single enemies.
