The Detachable Stalactites are traps found particularly in Tomb Raider II and Tomb Raider Legend.
In the second game, the stalactites fall on Lara as soon as she reaches under or near them. Depending on Lara's position, they can injure her more or less or even kill her.
In Tomb Raider Legend, Lara uses the stalactites to grab on, but they collapse within a few seconds when touched.
