An electronic Machine Chip in Lara's inventory

The Machine Chip is an electronic device seen and used in the Offshore Rig Level Diving Area. Machine Chips look very similar to the the Circuit Board seen in Opera House, and they either complete or break a circuit so Lara can access another area, or, in one case, turn off a electronic saw to get a Pass Card.

There are two in Diving Area

Hallway with the first Machine Chip at the end, and an M16

One is found at the end of a Burner Hallway (image), and the other is dropped by a Fiamma Nera Brawler in the central chamber of the Level.

The first one opens a door to the main area of the Diving Rooms. The second one shuts down the electronic saw guarding the Red Pass Card.

Machine Chip Appearance

The Machine Chip looks electrical, and as Lara is in a technological location, this seems to fit this environment.

Receptacle

The Receptacles for both Machine Chips, and the Circuit Board in Opera House, is a small electrical board with an obvious gap in the centre of it for where the Machine Chip or Circuit Board goes.
