The Crowbar is a very useful pickup and a tool in Tomb Raider III, The Last Revelation, Tomb Raider Chronicles and The Angel of Darkness.
The very first time it was used was in Tomb Raider III in the levels Antarctica and RX-Tech Mines. The Crowbar appeared later in The Last Revelation, Tomb Raider Chronicles and The Angel of Darkness.
The Crowbar can be used to pry open doors and wardrobes or to pry out artefacts and other pickups that are stuck at a wall. Also, in The Last Revelation the Crowbar can be used to replace a handle of a special Lever Switch, the Crowbar Switch.
It can even be used to bring down an opponent: the Submarine Cook in Chronicles has to be hit with the Crowbar because Lara doesn't have her pistols in the beginning of the level The Submarine.
