The Electronic Entertainment Expo (also called E3 or sometimes E³) is a annual gaming industry fair. It is the primary gaming convention worldwide, featuring presentations of many new titles each year. In recent years it has turned into a non-public press event, meaning that the public audience can not buy tickets - unlike most other conventions like San Diego Comic Con, Tokyo Games Show, or GamesCom. Instead there is simultaneous extensive internet and other media coverage.
Tomb Raider at E3
In 1996 then publisher Eidos Interactive presented the first Tomb Raider game by Core Design at the second E3.
In 2011 the first trailer of the upcoming Tomb Raider game was presented by developer Crystal Dynamics and publisher Square Enix at E3, along with the first sequences of game play from the first level at the Xbox press conference, followed in 2012 by the second trailer and more game play, again at the Xbox press conference.
