Spike Traps are very common throughout the game. But they come in many different forms.
- There are simple spiketraps where the spikes are obvious. (In most cases Lara can walk through them. Instant death if jumped into. Drains energy when Lara runs through them.)
- There are spike traps where the spikes are hidden and shoot out of the floor when you step onto them. (Always deadly.)
- There are spike traps which retract and extend their spikes at certain intervals. (Deadly when retracted, else harmless.)
- There are "tunnels" of spike traps where spikes come out of the floor, ceiling and walls. (Deadly when retracted, else harmless.)
