Back to Basics (or commonly abbreviated BtB) is a yearly contest to build themed levels using objects, textures and other basic tools provided. Builders and Beta Testers are sword to secrecy and are not allowed to show the public any spoilers of textures or objects. After the release of the levels, players are to guess who the builders are. This years theme of Btb 2010 is [[Venice]]. Currently, There are a whopping 58 builders. BTB 2010 has been released on January 1, 2010

Btb started with "Lara at the Movies" in 2004 where the builders were to build Lara in a specific movie.
