Today Square Enix and Nixxes announced the release of an update to the PC version of Rise of the Tomb Raider further increasing the performance of the game on Windows 10 machines using DirectX 12 technology. The patch is supposed to spread rendering work that previously had to be done on a single core of the CPU over all available cores. It is also supposed to increase throughput on multi GPU configurations. The update has been released to the Steam and Windows stores and should be automatically installed.

Please note, that in order to take advantage of all new features you need a DirectX 12 compatible graphics card and running Windows 10 - Windows 8.1 and below do not support DX 12! (The game will still be rendered in DX 11 on those machines.)
